Dragon and Phoenix

Chinese people consider the dragon and phoenix pairing as a symbol of the blissful relationship between husband and wife. In ancient times, nearly all things connected with the emperor and empress were decorated with dragon and phoenix patterns. The pairing also symbolizes power, and is said to bring luck and good fortune.
