To celebrate the launch of Trollbeads Museum we offered Troll Friends the chance to vote one retired bead back into the permanent collection. And the winner is...

Big Earth!

Big Earth was designed by Nicolas Aagaard in 2000:

"I was incredibly surprised and proud to hear that Earth had been voted out of retirement. This bead was my first design for Trollbeads back when Trollbeads was a completely unique concept.

It's fantastic to see that Trollbeads, and Earth bead, are still finding new fans today!"

Big Earth was a collaborative design between Nicolas Aagaard and his grandfather Svend. It came to life in 2000 the same year that the Trollbeads 'bead on bracelet' concept was copied for the first time.

The advertisement below was created in light of this and ran in a trade magazine directed at goldsmiths and jewellery retailers in Denmark, who wanted to offer the original product.
